Overview
Coondapur Education Society was founded in the year 1975. Janab Hazi N. M. Ahmed Kutty was the founder President. Kindergarten classes were started in 1975.
Halsnad Madappayya Memorial English Primary School was started in 1976 and V K R Acharya Memorial English High School in 1982.
These schools were started as a result of the donations of Late Dr. H. Venkatramanayya and Dr. A. R. Acharya of Bombay.KG sections were inaugurated by Late Sri S. D. Syiem, the Assistant Commissioner of Kundapura.
In the beginning the school was conducted in the private building of Sri Jagannath Shabhogue and Sri K Laxminarayana Rao. It was shifted to new own building in 1977.
